DESCRIPTION:Watercolour Painting Workshop \nDescription: \nEach 2.5 hour session will have a different subject and emphasis. Exploring practical skills from surface preparation to application of paint\, tools and use of mediums. We will be exploring a range of techniques to create washes\, layers\, textures and fine details\, looking at different subjects for inspiration each month. You could dip in and out of these sessions as each is stand alone or book them in a series. Suitable for beginners and improvers. Old clothes are recommended \nAbout The Tutor:  \nLouise Berrill is an artist living and working in a quiet village in rural Northamptonshire. Formerly trained at Loughborough University School of Art and Design\, Louise graduated in 2006 with a BA Hons in Fine Art. In the years after\, she continued to paint alongside working in galleries. Until she had her family\, Louise taught art in a secondary school until 2013. Louise has painted and sold in galleries throughout the country and works on private commissions in the UK and internationally. SUMMARY:Glass Fusion - Garden Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this five-hour workshop you will make a unique glass piece to fit into a copper frame for your garden. The overall display including the frame measures approximately 10cm x 34cm. You will learn how to cut glass and will have access to a wide range of transparent glass on a clear or opaque white background to make your very own bespoke piece. There will be a thirty-minute break for lunch\, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit our café. \nAfter the workshop your pieces will be taken to Sally’s studio where they will be fired  in her kiln then fixed to the copper frame.  They will be ready within 14 days of the workshop and can be collected from Lamport Hall or posted out to you for the cost of the postage. \nPlease ensure you are wearing old clothes and enclosed shoes\, i.e. no sandals.

SUMMARY:2-Day Stained Glass Workshop
DESCRIPTION:2-Day Stained Glass Workshop \nCourse Overview: \nThis two-day course gives you an introduction to the traditional method of stained-glass making. This course in traditional method of stained-glass construction will give you an insight into this ancient craft. You will be fully guided through the process and given lots of tips\, tricks\, insight\, and appreciation of stained-glass window-making. \nThe course will start with an introduction to the art of stained glass\, the design\, and how we ‘paint with light’\, including the equipment and tools used to do this. You will quickly move on to the practical aspect by learning how to score and break glass. This will be followed by practice cutting glass to a design until you’re ready to start cutting the coloured glass for your main project. You can either use one of the designs provided or bring along a design of your own. \nThere will be a full demonstration of the process of constructing a panel at each stage\, and we will discuss the tools and techniques being used.
