DESCRIPTION:Join us for a cosy Autumnal evening this October as the Visitor Centre opens late for an evenings of creativity\, and the chance to try your hand at something new\, with workshops ranging from an autumn themed Sip & Paint\, Family Friendly Resin Jewellery Making for age 10+ and even a Blacksmithing taster session in our Traditional Barn. The skills you will learn include taking a heat\, drawing out\, scrolling\, and twisting to produce a unique piece to take home. \nSold Out \n\n					\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						Resin Jewellery Making \n						Fun and family friendly jewellery-making workshop to create your own handmade jewellery piece using natural stones\, dried flowers and resin. SUMMARY:Home Education Day Key Stage 3
DESCRIPTION:Our next Home Education Day for KS3 will be on Thursday 19th November 2026. Everyone is welcome but is best suited to learners aged 11-14 or those accessing the Key Stages 3 curriculum. \nThere will be three timed sessions including Owl Pellet Dissection\, Political Power: From Iron Age to Roman Britain\, and our new Become a Ranger session\, as well as more informal\, drop-in learning activities. \nOwl Pellet Dissection\nBecome a wildlife detective and uncover what our tawny owls have been eating by exploring the bones\, fur and feathers hidden inside their pellets. \nPolitical Power: From Iron Age to Roman Britain\nJoin us for a local history study and learn about the changing nature of political power from the Iron Age to the Roman period here at Stanwick Lakes. \nBecome a Ranger!\nLearn about how we manage our site and join our Ranger team to complete conservation work. \nAll children must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings are welcome\, children wishing to participate must purchase a ticket. This is to ensure that our group sizes remain comfortable for all. \nAttending adults and non participating children under 2 are free of charge. \nParking is included with your ticket if registration is provided at time of booking. \nSpecial Conditions \nPlease note the following conditions apply to this event: \n\nPlease wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear suitable for all weather conditions.\nThe event may be cancelled or amended at short notice in the case of extreme or unsafe weather conditions (such as storms or other conditions that may present a safety risk).\nNo dogs are permitted at the event.\n\nCancellation Policy\nOnce we receive your booking form\, your booking is confirmed. If you have to cancel\, we will do our utmost to find another booking for you. However\, we are a small charity and if no booking is made\, a cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund at the appropriate rate.\n \n\nMore than 30 days before the event: no charge\n10 to 30 days before the event: 50% of the fee will be charged\nLess than 10 days before the event: 100% of the fee will be charged
