An overview
“Christmas is very much a time for traditions, with each generation and family adding to the accepted ideas of what and how the festivities should be conducted. The resulting mixture has pagan and Christian elements blended with imported and commercial ideas to make the season special. The talk look at selected food, decorations, and events, all illustrated with a mixture of historic images and Christmas cards. An hour of calm before a month often far too busy.”
The speaker:

Currently she volunteers with Northampton and Oundle Museums. Most of her work has been with costume collections but she has also explored various aspects of social and decorative art history on the way. Sharn is also a keen embroiderer and lover of historic recipes.
