Embark on a fascinating journey through time with archaeologist Andy Chapman at Stanwick Lakes, without leaving the Visitor Centre! Explore the rich history of the people who established roots here, spanning from Neolithic eras to the existence of a Medieval hamlet, from the comfort of the Visitor Centre
An impressive collection of treasures unearthed on-site now allows us to recount the narrative of human activity within this valley over millennia. This experience requires no walking; instead, Andy will employ photographs and maps to depict the settlements uncovered during the 1980s archaeological excavations in this one-hour talk.
Thanks to the support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund this talk is free.
Admission is by RSVP ticket only. Book early to avoid disappointment – RSVP function below.
There will be opportunities before and after the talk to purchase refreshments from the café.
Standard car park charges will apply.
