DESCRIPTION:Build a den at Stanwick Lakes this half term! \nA Ranger will lead your group to our den building area and introduce you to the tools and materials available\, and discuss the min main properties a shelter should have if it were to be needed in a survival situation. You’ll then be set a challenge to build your den! One of our Ranger team will be on hand to visit your shelter and hear about your chosen den-building techniques and vision. \nSessions last approx. 60 minutes and a responsible adult must be present throughout. Meet at the Ranger Cabin 5 mins before and your chosen\, ticketed start time. \nDen building is most suitable for children aged 3+\, however\, because a parent or guardian must be present at all times\, we accept parent/guardian discretion. Use bright colours\, creepy shapes\, and spooky designs to make your lantern come alive. \nPerfect for families: bring along your little ones for a magical hands-on activity. No experience is needed\, though lantern-making can be a little fiddly for younger children\, so we kindly request one adult per two children under 10 is to join in on the crafting fun. \nTickets are £9 per lantern. \nBooking required\, so reserve your lantern today! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Over four hours\, you’ll experiment with mark-making\, layering\, and colour blending\, before crafting your own unique silk artwork inspired by the natural forms of winter berries. \nBy the end of the session\, you’ll leave not only with a framed piece of art to treasure (or gift!) but also with the confidence to continue exploring this versatile medium at home. \nAll materials are included\, along with plenty of encouragement\, expert tips\, and creative inspiration. SUMMARY:2-Day Stained Glass Workshop
DESCRIPTION:2-Day Stained Glass Workshop \nCourse Overview: \nThis two-day course gives you an introduction to the traditional method of stained-glass making. This course in traditional method of stained-glass construction will give you an insight into this ancient craft. You will be fully guided through the process and given lots of tips\, tricks\, insight\, and appreciation of stained-glass window-making. \nThe course will start with an introduction to the art of stained glass\, the design\, and how we ‘paint with light’\, including the equipment and tools used to do this. You will quickly move on to the practical aspect by learning how to score and break glass. This will be followed by practice cutting glass to a design until you’re ready to start cutting the coloured glass for your main project. You can either use one of the designs provided or bring along a design of your own. \nThere will be a full demonstration of the process of constructing a panel at each stage\, and we will discuss the tools and techniques being used. DESCRIPTION:Join us this December for a magical walk around Solstice Lake and carols in our outdoor theatre. Festive food and refreshments will be available to purchase and entertainment will be provided. \nThere are two dats to choose from – spaces fill up fast so book now to avoid disappointment! \nPlease wrap up warm and bring a torch or lantern to walk with (perhaps you made one at our Lantern workshops in October half term). \nDogs are allowed to this event. Due to our environmental status dogs must be on leads at all times at Stanwick Lakes.
