Join us from 10am to 4pm for our Heritage Open Day\, where you can explore 10\,000 years of history and discover this year’s theme: architecture – natural and historic. SUMMARY:Talk&Walk: Winter Conservation Work
DESCRIPTION:Join the Ranger team in the Visitor Centre to hear about the work they have completed throughout the season\, their wildlife highlights so far\, and their plans for the upcoming months. The talk will be followed by an optional wildlife-spotting walk around some of the key locations on site where conservation work is underway. And there will be the opportunity to ask questions about all aspects of the Rangers’ work. \nStarting from 10:30am the talk and walk should last about 60-90 minutes. \nWhat’s Included \nOur Tea\, Talk and Walk is £8.00 which includes the talk\, the walk\, parking for the duration and a hot drinks voucher to be redeemed in the café. \nOur Soup\, Tea\, Talk and Walk is £14.00 which includes the talk\, the walk\, parking for the duration\, a hot drinks voucher and a Soup and Bread Roll to be redeemed in the café. \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Ancient Craft return in 2025 with guests workshops. \nIntroduction to Flint Knapping\nWorkshop Info:\nThe oldest flint tools found in Britain date to around 1 million years ago\, the latest around 3000 years ago so you will have the chance to try your hand at a process used for 99.7% of human presence in Britain! Experimental archaeologist Dr. James Dilley will guide you through the process of making your own flint tools to take home at the end. He appears frequently on archaeology television programmes including Digging for Britain\, Stonehenge: The Lost Circle\, HistoryHit and many more! \nDate: Saturday 4th October 2025\nDuration: 10am – 4pm\nLocation: Stanwick Lakes\, Northamptonshire \nYour “Learn at the Lakes” experience… \nAttendee Information:\nEntry to Stanwick Lakes is included in each AncientCraft workshop ticket price.\nGuidance will be on-hand at all times.\nAppropriate clothing must be worn for manual work (fully covered shoes and trousers\, etc.).\nAttendees must be over 16. \nStanwick Lakes Café\nFood and drinks can be purchased in the café in the Visitor Centre\, or you can bring your own packed lunch.
