This illustrated talk looks at aspects in Northamptonshire from hospitals, munition works. boot and shoe factory work, changings to shopping, rationing, volunteers helping the war effort and the entertainment of troops. Every person played their part in the county from school children collecting blackberries to make jam to the troops, to ladies knitting gloves and balaclavas for the troops.
