Talk Overview
Presented by finalists from the BBC’s multi award winning series Race Across the World, Stephen and Viv talk about their adventures as they travelled from northern Japan all the way to Lombok in Indonesia. Over eight  gruelling weeks and covering 15,000 kilometres they crossed six seas, eight borders and all on a very tight budget without the use of smartphones, internet or bank cards.

The Speakers
Retired couple Stephen and Viv from Uppingham are on a quest to prove that wisdom, perspective and maturity is the winning formula. With a newfound zest for life, and in pursuit of a thrilling adventure, they are grabbing hold of life with both hands and challenging the boundaries of retirement.

This talks starts at 2.00pm and will be approx. 45mins – 1 hour. If you choose a cream tea or afternoon tea this will be served after the talk. Lunch bookings will be at 12.30pm.
All tickets include parking for the duration of the event and ticket type. Members, of course, benefit from free parking all day.
