Whether you’re a long-time G&S fan or just fancy something a little different\, it’s a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon for music lovers\, families\, and groups of friends. \nYour afternoon tea includes finger sandwiches (cheddar cheese\, ham\, and egg mayo)\, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam\, a savoury selection\, and a mix of mini cakes and sweet treats. \nTwo sittings: 1:00pm–2:30pm or 3:00pm–4:30pm \nTickets from £24.95 (Adult)\, £31.95 (Sparkling)\, £15.95 (Children – must be booked alongside an adult ticket). DESCRIPTION:Discover more about the objects you’ve found with Northamptonshire’s Finds Liaison Officer\, Eleanore Cox.\nWe’re delighted to host Eleanore from the Northamptonshire Portable Antiquities Scheme for two special FREE drop-in Finds Days: \n\nFriday 6th March\, 10.30am–1.30pm\nFriday 4th September\, 10.30am–1.30pm\n\nWhether you’ve uncovered something while out metal detecting\, unearthed an interesting object in the garden\, or held onto a mysterious family heirloom\, bring it along. \nThe Northamptonshire Finds Liaison Officer (FLO) helps identify and record archaeological finds that are over 300 years old\, whether they’ve been discovered in Northamptonshire or elsewhere in the UK. This includes items such as coins\, metal objects\, jewellery\, tools\, or any other historic artefacts you may have uncovered. \nEleanore will be available to help identify\, record\, and share the story behind your finds\, contributing to the Portable Antiquities Scheme national project to enhance our understanding of the past. \nNo booking needed—just pop in with your items and have a chat. \nUsual car parking charges apply.

SUMMARY:A 2-Day Flax Fiber and Weaving Workshop on Your Handmade Ceramic Frame
DESCRIPTION:Participants will have the opportunity to create a beautiful handwoven piece using their own handmade ceramic frame. \n5th September 2026 (Day 1):\nStudents will make their ceramic weaving frames using stoneware clay and decorate them with the course tutor Emi’s forged natural clay slips. Day 1 is from 10am until 1pm. \n12th September 2026 (Day 2):\nStudents will receive their fired ceramic frames\, prepared by Emi. They will learn how to set up the loom and create their own handwoven piece using natural and sustainable yarns\, including Emi’s home-grown flax fibres\, forged natural fibres and yarns\, Japanese kibiso yarn\, silk mawata fleece\, alpaca wool\, and more. Day 2 is from 10am until 4pm. \nEmi has worked on several projects growing flax plants to produce fabric in different communities. She will also demonstrate the process of turning flax plants into fibre and hand-spinning it into linen yarn. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about flax fibre. \nParticipants are welcome to bring their own yarns as well. \nStudents will take their completed weaving on the frame home.
