Threaded Acoustic Singing Group

4th April 2025 @ 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Live Singing Group – Threaded

Join Threaded for an evening of original music at Stanwick Lakes! Get ready to relax, grab a drink and some hot food and enjoy ‘a slice of acoustic wonderment’ with tunes and songs old and new, in the stunning setting that is Stanwick Lakes. Threaded are an acoustic crossover outfit that create and perform original music inspired by world folk culture, nature, stories and personal experiences. Described as ‘beautiful, refreshing and charming’ & ‘an ambient slice of acoustic wonderment’ (Songlines); their compositions fuse influences from traditional and contemporary folk, classical music and world soundscapes, which has culminated in their unique and distinctive sound.

Threaded features the ‘super talented‘ (Bright Young Folk) Midlands based musicians: Jamie Rutherford (guitar/lead vocals), Ning- ning Li (violin/vocals) and Rosie Rutherford (clarinet/bass clarinet/ vocals). The trio have released 4 studio albums, with their most recent album ‘as it always was’ being produced by their very own Jamie Rutherford and released Summer 2024. As well as touring and performing on the music circuit, their love for collaborative writing and devising has seen them create, perform and tour music for the Theatre sector too. Their music has received great critical acclaim, and they feel so privileged to be able to create and share the music from their hearts to audiences all over!

They have recently been accepted onto the Live and Local rural touring scheme and are part of the 2024-2025 Menu. As active freelance musicians, performing across a variety of musical circuits and genres, other notable projects have seen them explore accessibility in music, and how they could make their music more inclusive to the D/deaf community. Since working as composers and performers with Theatre company Red Earth Theatre, they received ACE funding for an R&D project during the Covid lockdown, which looked at composition and accessibility, and they have been lucky enough to work with incredible BSL sign song performers Rebecca Withey and Caroline Parker MBE. They have also been working with Nottingham University’s Mixed Reality Lab into developing tech to support future performances, and have recently become Associate Artists for their VIP Studio.
