By the end\, you’ll have completed a mixed media painting that showcases the skills and creativity developed during the class. \nYou’re welcome to dip in and out of these sessions as each is designed to be stand-alone\, or you can choose to book them in a series for a more in-depth experience. In each class\, you will join a relaxed group where new and returning painters create together in a relaxed\, drop-in style session. All levels are welcome\, whether you’re a complete beginner or have been painting for years\, simply introduce yourself to the tutor and get stuck in. DESCRIPTION:On this relaxed one-day beginners’ workshop at Stanwick Lakes\, you will learn how to weave willow into beautiful and practical garden features using traditional techniques. \nDuring the morning\, you will craft a woven obelisk – ideal for supporting climbing plants or adding structure to your garden. SUMMARY:Japanese Botanical Stitching Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This workshop runs in the spring and summer time when there are many flowers and leaves in the garden. \nParticipants draw any flowers and leaves on the sketchbook in the garden and then transfer their drawing into the handwoven organic cotton tea towel. Participants will stitch their design using the course tutor Emi’s natural dyed threads including blue from indigo\, pink from English madder and more. \nIf the weather is good the course will take place in our Heritage gardens and then participants can work anywhere in the garden.
