School Groups at Stanwick Lakes
Nestled in the heart of the Nene Valley and with a fascinating history, Stanwick Lakes is the ideal location for children to learn about science, geography, history, art and more! With 750 acres to explore, an indoor education space, huge play areas, coach parking and guidance from our experienced Ranger team, we can provide educational sessions for all ages.
The Ranger team run sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. Please note, availability is more limited during the practical conservation season (between September – March)
To enquire or book, please email email@example.com with your preferred session, group size and dates.
See below for more information on the variety of sessions on offer.
The Rangers offer a variety of subjects suited to a range of age groups, linked to the school national curriculum:
- Pond dipping
- Wildlife Detectives
- Brilliant Birds
- Rivers and the Nene Valley
- Shelter Building
- Forest School
- Natural Art
- Sensory Explorers
The Ranger team can adapt these sessions to the abilities and needs of your group. Please see our Education Booklet 2023 for more information.
Coach parking and our indoor education space are included in the cost of booking a Ranger-led education session.
If you are planning a self-led visit, there is a charge of £30 per coach (please note that anything larger than an 18-seater is classed as a coach). This is effectively an admission charge for use of the facilities and it applies when large groups are dropped off, or when the coach stays on site.
There is limited coach parking available so please contact us to book your space (01933 625522).
For self-led visits, the education room can be booked separately too – please enquire at firstname.lastname@example.org.
