Glass Fusion – Butterfly Workshop

In this five-hour workshop you will make a fused glass butterfly. You will have a choice of fixings so that it can be that can either be hung as a light catcher or fixed to a wall/fence by a ‘stand-off’ fixing. You will learn to create a clear base and then create your design using cut glass and embellished with pre-fused cabochons. This workshop is aimed at people with some glass experience as accurate cutting skills are required. There will be a thirty-minute break for lunch, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit our café.
After the workshop your butterflies will be taken to Sally’s studio where they will be fired twice in kiln. They will be ready 14 days after the workshop and can be collected from Stanwick Lakes or posted out to you for the cost of the postage.
Old clothes are recommended. Please do not wear open toed shoes.
