Accessibility
The majority of the site’s facilities are wheelchair accessible, including the visitor centre, toilets, rangers’ log cabin, bird hide, the network of footpaths and cycle paths, and areas within the central adventure playground. A lift is situated in the café area to allow disabled visitors to access the mezzanine seating area where the archaeological finds are kept, including the section of Roman floor mosaic.
For more information about access at Stanwick Lakes please read our Stanwick Lakes Access Statement.
Blue Badge holders: We provide designated Blue Badge parking spaces close to the Visitor Centre. A valid Blue Badge does not exempt visitors from parking charges. As an independent charity, Stanwick Lakes relies on parking income to help fund the maintenance of the site and our conservation, education and visitor facilities. The standard parking tariff applies to all vehicles using the car park.
