Duncan has lived in the Kettering areas since the 1980s and retired from a fulfilling career as Chartered Accountant in 2023 after 46 years with Meadows & Co Chartered Accountants. During this time, he became an expert in areas such as personal and business tax, purchase and sale of businesses.
Duncan continues to use his financial acumen to support local groups and is often asked to examine society and club accounts on an honorary (no fee) basis.
Duncan was a school governor for over 20 years, firstly at Cranford C of E primary school (chair of governors) and secondly at Bishop Stopford School (chair of finance). He also helps to organise the annual Rotary (formerly Round Table) Charity dinner at Wicksteed Park for over 30 years. In ‘retirement’ he is now heavily involved with Masonic work, charitable and principally administrative, being a regional treasurer and chair of the Kettering Masonic Centre’s companies and managing committee.
Duncan enjoys spending time at his holiday home in Norfolk and has a dog which he and his wife enjoy taking out to the countryside / seaside walking. They also enjoy travel, including to visit one of his three sons who lives with his girlfriend and dog in Australia.
