Our Vision

Nestled in the heart of the Nene Valley Stanwick Lakes offers a wide-ranging community programme that aims to educate, involve, and inspire people in both nature, heritage, and adventure. To us this means encouraging community groups to develop the knowledge and skills that they need to find meaning in our natural and cultural landscapes, encouraging a sense of belonging for all, and most importantly encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

Home Education

We are delighted to welcome our home educating families through our dedicated home education days. These days educateinvolve, and inspire young people in both nature, heritage, and adventure and are designed to support both curriculum learning and the flexible and personalised approach to learning that our home education families provide.

Uniformed Groups

We offer bespoke events especially for uniformed groups, whether at district level or with smaller units. These events are designed to engage young people with our values of nature, heritage and adventure and support the inspiring programme that uniformed group volunteers provide.

Junior Rangers

As an important part of the Nene Valley Special Protection Area (SPA), a designated Wetland of International Importance, and as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), our junior ranger sessions offer unique opportunities to learn about the natural world. Led by our Nature Engagement Officer, this programme is designed to support both skills development and provide practical opportunities for young people to gain experience.
