Discover the Beauty of Handcrafted Heritage
This October Half Term, Stanwick Lakes is delighted to host Cræftiģ Makers a major exhibition celebrating the skill and creativity of local artisans.
Presented by the Northants Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers as part of their 45th anniversary celebrations, the exhibition brings together a wide variety of decorative and practical pieces, crafted with both heritage and contemporary techniques.
What You’ll See
- Fibre arts & natural dyeing at the heart of the exhibition
- Works created with sustainable materials including wood, plants, shells, and recycled items
- A mix of wearable and practical art alongside unique one-off artisan pieces
- Live demonstrations – meet the makers as they create new works in person
Many of the works will be available to buy, and visitors will also have the chance to commission bespoke items directly from the artisans – a perfect opportunity to take home something truly unique.
A Celebration of Craft
Whether you’re interested in traditional skills, contemporary design, or simply looking for a fascinating and creative family outing this half term, Cræftiģ Makers offers inspiration, insight, and the chance to see heritage crafts brought vividly to life.
