Pond Dipping Thursday Summer Sessions

Join our rangers for a pond dipping session this summer!

Using nets, trays and magnifying glasses and guided by one of our rangers, come and discover the creatures that live in the ponds at Stanwick Lakes! After a safety briefing and an introduction to the creatures we’re likely to find, we’ll head to the pond dipping platform where you will be given a pond dipping kit! The Ranger will be on hand with identification keys to help you work out which creatures you have caught as well as to share knowledge about the pond ecosystem and the many species that call it home.

Sessions last approx. 30 minutes and a responsible adult must be present throughout.

Meet at the Ranger Cabin 5 mins before your chosen ticketed start time.

Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing (including sun hats) and sun cream – it can be hot on the dipping platforms!
