Willow Weaving Course: Obelisk & Bird Feeder

On this relaxed one-day beginners’ workshop at Stanwick Lakes, you will learn how to weave willow into beautiful and practical garden features using traditional techniques.
During the morning, you will craft a woven obelisk – ideal for supporting climbing plants or adding structure to your garden. In the afternoon, you will create a spiral bird feeder using a jig, suitable for fat balls, nesting materials or even rustic kitchen storage.
Throughout the day, you will explore shaping, tension and simple weaving methods in a welcoming and supportive environment.
The course takes place in the Heritage Craft Barn at Stanwick Lakes, a 750-acre protected Nature Reserve and Wetland of International Importance managed by Rockingham Forest Trust as an environmental charity.
