Festive Opening Hours at Stanwick Lakes
The festive season is a wonderful time to wrap up warm and enjoy some fresh air, winter wildlife and peaceful walks around Stanwick Lakes. Whether you’re visiting for a stroll, a cycle, or a warming drink, please take a moment to check our opening hours over the Christmas and New Year period so you can plan your visit.
Christmas & New Year Opening Times
Christmas Eve – Tuesday 24 December:
The Visitor Centre will be open but will close early at 2pm.
Christmas Day – Wednesday 25 December:
The Visitor Centre, car park and all facilities will be closed.
However, the site itself remains open for walkers and cyclists, so you can still enjoy the lakes and trails.
Boxing Day – Thursday 26 December:
The Visitor Centre will be closed.
The Walker’s Rest kiosk will be open from 10am, serving drinks and snacks.
Saturday 27 December – Tuesday 30 December:
The Visitor Centre will be open and normal opening hours resume.
New Year’s Eve – Tuesday 31 December:
The Visitor Centre will be open but will close early at 2pm.
New Year’s Day – Wednesday 1 January:
The Visitor Centre will be open and normal opening hours resume.
