Course Overview
Each 2.5-hour session in this acrylic painting course introduces a new subject and focus, providing an engaging experience each session. You’ll explore essential practical skills and techniques, from preparing surfaces to mastering the application of acrylic paint. Sessions also include guidance on tools and mediums, offering you the versatility to experiment and achieve a range of effects.
Throughout the classes, we’ll cover topics such as preparing your painting surfaces, mixing and layering acrylic paint, and using various tools to create textures and finishes. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to learn the basics or an experienced artist aiming to refine your skills and refresh your approach, these classes are designed to inspire and encourage your creativity.
Each class is a stand-alone session, so you can choose to attend one or book a series for an ongoing exploration of acrylic painting techniques.

About the Tutor
Louise is a Northamptonshire artist who’s work is sold in galleries throughout the country, and works on private commissions in the UK and internationally. Formally trained at Loughborough University School of Art and Design, Louise graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art. Her current work speaks to the beauty of the natural world and perfectly reflects approach here at Stanwick Lakes. With her friendly and enthusiastic approach, she aims to inspire, whether you simply want to try something new or are a budding artist.
