Course Overview
Glass fusion courses offer a practical, hands-on approach to creating both decorative and functional glass pieces. Participants learn essential techniques like cutting, layering, and kiln-firing under the guidance of skilled instructors. Whether you’re new to the craft or have prior experience, these workshops provide a supportive environment to explore different designs and techniques. Each course is tailored to different skill levels, allowing everyone to experiment with color, shape, and texture, and leave with a unique, finished piece they can be proud of.
Workshop:
Flowers
A wonderful beginner’s class, in this workshop you will have the choice of making a flower wave sculpture or a flower candle holder. You will have access to all materials to decorate your glass including pre fired glass beads and frit.

Lights & Hearts
If you’ve ever fancied having a go at making something in glass but not sure if you want to commit to a longer, more expensive workshop why not try our popular taster workshop. During the session you will make up to 3 pieces.

Workshop:
Butterfly
In this five-hour workshop you will make a fused glass butterfly. You will learn to create a clear base and then create your design using cut glass and embellished with pre-fused cabochons.

Holey Moley Bowl
This three-hour workshop focuses on creating a distinctive “holey” glass bowl. Participants will be learn how to cut glass and gain an understanding of glass fusion techniques.

About the Tutor
Sally is a passionate glass artist who, inspired by reflections and the way sunlight plays through glass, fell in love with glass fusion.
Over the years, Sally has honed her teaching skills and developed a passion for teaching, and bought her first kiln in 2019.
Sally’s workshops are always relaxed and fun and she encourages everyone to come up with their own designs. She particularly enjoys working with people who say they are not artistic or creative, because they always surprise themselves by creating something beautiful!
What’s included in the price?
Tools, materials and safety equipment are provided.
Your car parking is also free of charge on the day of your course.
Food and drinks can be purchased in the café in the Visitor Centre or bring your own packed lunch.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts.
