Home Education Day Key Stage 3
Our next Home Education Day for KS3 will be on Thursday 19th November 2026. Everyone is welcome but is best suited to learners aged 11-14 or those accessing the Key Stages 3 curriculum.
There will be three timed sessions including Owl Pellet Dissection, Political Power: From Iron Age to Roman Britain, and our new Become a Ranger session, as well as more informal, drop-in learning activities.
Owl Pellet Dissection
Become a wildlife detective and uncover what our tawny owls have been eating by exploring the bones, fur and feathers hidden inside their pellets.
Political Power: From Iron Age to Roman Britain
Join us for a local history study and learn about the changing nature of political power from the Iron Age to the Roman period here at Stanwick Lakes.
Become a Ranger!
Learn about how we manage our site and join our Ranger team to complete conservation work.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings are welcome, children wishing to participate must purchase a ticket.
Attending adults and non participating children under 2 are free of charge.
Parking is included with your ticket if registration is provided at time of booking.
Special Conditions
Please note the following conditions apply to this event:
- Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear suitable for all weather conditions.
- The event may be cancelled or amended at short notice in the case of extreme or unsafe weather conditions (such as storms or other conditions that may present a safety risk).
- No dogs are permitted at the event.
Cancellation Policy
Once we receive your booking form, your booking is confirmed. If you have to cancel, we will do our utmost to find another booking for you. However, we are a small charity and if no booking is made, a cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund at the appropriate rate.
- More than 30 days before the event: no charge
- 10 to 30 days before the event: 50% of the fee will be charged
- Less than 10 days before the event: 100% of the fee will be charged
