Our sessions are designed to support the National Curriculum and STEM engagement through enquiry based learning, so whether you want to learn about the plants or animals in our habitats or natural art at Key Stage One, we have something for you. Plant Hunters
Explore the plants growing in our wetland environment. Learn to work scientifically by observing their basic structure and investigating what plants need to grow and stay healthy. Perfect for those learning about ‘Plants’ at Key Stage One.

Brilliant Birds
Learn how we can identify and group a variety of birds, looking closely at their structure and discussing how our birds are well suited to their habitat. Perfect for those learning about ‘Animals, including humans’ at Key Stage One.

Wildlife Detectives
Identify and name a variety of common animals in our woodland and wetland habitats and practice working scientifically by learning about the importance of monitoring wildlife and discovering the methods used to do so. Perfect for those learning about ‘Animals, including humans’ at Key Stage One.

Minibeasting
Learn to identify and classify living things in our woodland’s micro-habitats and explore non-living things, to discover how minibeasts rely on dead or decaying habitats to survive. Perfect for those learning about ‘Living things and their habitats’ at Key Stage One.

Dinner Detectives
Explore the variety of animals that live in our habitat, including carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Find out what they need to survive and compare how our animals have adapted to the food they eat or devise a simple food chain. Perfect for those learning about ‘Animals, including humans’ or ‘Living things and their habitats’ at Key Stage One.

Pond Dipping
Learn to identify and classify living things in our pond’s micro-habitat and explore how this habitat supports the processes of life. Perfect for those learning about ‘Living things and their habitats’ at Key Stage One.

Shelter Building
Learn to design, build and evaluate a waterproof structure. Perfect for learning about ‘Design and technology’ at Key Stage One.

Natural Art
Learn about natural art and artists and design, make and evaluate your own piece of natural art. Perfect for exploring ‘Art and design’ at Key Stage One.
