Helen is the Environmental Lawyer for the Canal & River Trust, a national waterways and wellbeing charity responsible for managing 2000 miles of canals and rivers in England and Wales. She advises on all aspects of the environment, from water resources, pollution, wildlife and habitats, to reservoirs dredging and fish passes.  Prior to canals, and after completing her law degree and a Masters in Environmental Law and Management in Aberystwyth, Helen worked for the Environment Agency, starting out as a trainee solicitor before qualifying and advising for a number of years on flood risk management in East Anglia. In her spare time, she spends as much time outside as possible, enjoying the best of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside with her spaniel and children.
