Winter Hours: From Saturday 26th October the carpark is locked at 5.30pm.
The Visitor Centre closes at 5pm. Café is open until 3pm, or 4pm during weekends and the school holidays.
Please note, the waterplay feature is closed Monday mornings for routine cleaning and maintenance.
An overview
The Great War of 1914-1918 not only saw a war front overseas, but also saw many different wartime aspects develop on the Home Front. This illustrated talk looks at aspects in Northamptonshire from hospitals, munition works. boot and shoe factory work, changings to shopping, rationing, volunteers helping the war effort and the entertainment of troops. Every person played their part in the county from school children collecting blackberries to make jam to the troops, to ladies knitting gloves and balaclavas for the troops.

This talks starts at 2.00pm and will be approx. 45mins – 1 hour.
If you choose a cream tea or afternoon tea this will be served after the talk. Lunch bookings will be at 12.30pm.
All tickets include parking for the duration of the event and ticket type.
Members, of course, benefit from free parking all day.
